Gosh, this is tough.
I could imagine working with animals like dolphins, elephants, bears, and lions. Or being a paid writer. Or even working with Dolly Parton, doing whatever she wanted me to do. The truth is, I am a dreamer with no bounds. I should have been a philosopher, as I tend to ponder things deeply and often. In an ideal world, I would be an independent thinker with flexible hours, able to work from home or travel, while still getting the work done.
If I am honest, my dream job would offer meaningful work, great hours, and enough flexibility to live well. In that sense, I already have much of what I once dreamed of. A lot about my current job feels tailor made for me.
That does not mean every day is perfect. Some days are a nightmare, though those are rare. And while I do not make dream earnings, I do have stability, purpose, and sometimes room to breathe.
Overall, I am grateful. Because often, it feels like I am living the dream, one grounded in responsibility and possibility.
And Dolly, I am still waiting for your call. Shoes on. Bag packed.

Dr. Seuss type of a person , or ‘whisperer’ or even what Disney accomplished : animating and have animals speak. Although I speak to my ‘Mocha’ all the time. Meet my 140-lbs St. Bernard on my blog: http://www.deetezellimountainstories.wordpress.com
This made me smile, thank you :). There really is something magical about giving animals a voice, whether through stories, imagination, or daily conversations with a 140-lb St. Bernard who probably understands everything you say :)
When Dolly calls, I’d love to be the assistant to the assistant! Lol. I, like you, have many dream jobs. My favorite is/was Mom, so I feel very blessed as well. However, I’m still open for others… I love how grateful you are! I love you.
Yes, I will tell her we come as a package, lol. I love how grateful you are too. So I wonder if we can work on a piece together and then add it here. I like your ideas. I love you my root friend. Thank you for sitting with me this day. Love you 🥰
Oh, and I forgot to respond to your dream job, to be a Mom. I have witnessed some really good Mamas, but you are truly one of the very best!! I
Yes, Mama would have been wonderful. Charli, Lori and I have been blessed with amazing Moms. My dream job would be something in Forensics. I find that world fascinating. And, if I could work in the mountains near fresh water at the same time it would be the dream job lotto!
I had to edit my comment to her. I called her my Mom, lol. Yes, we have been so blessed with our Moms. Anyway, your mind is so sharp. You never seem to miss a thing, so I can see that for you. One of the protagonists in my ongoing novel projects works as a forensics accountant. I may need to pick your brain as I research probabilities. I also appreciate adding location as a part of that dream, especially such an inviting one. I too would love a cabin in the mountains near a body of water. I hope someday we gal pals can meet in a place like that. Oh goodness, dreaming again.
