“True genius is in the follow-through.”
My mama has said that for as long as I can remember.
Before answering today’s prompt, I did what any curious daughter would do. I went hunting to see if she’d borrowed it from Edison, Einstein, or some other famous fellow who gets credit for everything.
No luck.
Apparently, the internet doesn’t know.
So until proven otherwise, I’m giving full credit to Mama.
Or maybe I’ve simply learned that arguing with Mama is usually a losing battle, one I don’t mind losing.
Time after time, in chores, in showing up for work, and especially in returning to writing after I’d let it go because it got hard, I hear her words.
“True genius is in the follow-through, Babygirl.”
That is her story, and I’m sticking to it.

Good story to stick to for sure!!!!
Ah! The wisdom of mamas… I love this. It’s so cool that she still advises and you still listen.
Agreed!! Thank you :)
Both of us get it, lol. 💕
